I Want to Defend what Makes Our Community Special
In a country where public lands and beautiful natural refuges are being sold to extractive companies, where just one county over people were almost tricked into closing their local library, I want to be a voice that preserves the things that don’t necessary make a profit, but gives our community value.
I Want to Resist what Could Do it Harm
We don’t have to go terribly far to see where unwanted businesses keep wedging their way into communities that don’t want them. Residents in Saline just across the state are still fighting against an AI data center they don’t want and have never wanted. I want to a voice against those things that give wealth to a chosen few and leave regular people with the bill.
I Want to Improve What Can be Made Better
It’s not hard to see how everything is getting more expensive. From our rent, to the utilities, to the food we put on our table. It’s getting harder just to make ends meet. I want to do what I can to make my corner of the world just a little bit better. Every little bit helps.
